Active Mechanical is a growing mechanical contracting company with a strong reputation for quality work, reliability, and treating our team with respect. We're looking for an experienced HVAC/Refrigeration Technician who takes pride in their trade and wants to be part of a solid crew.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Red Seal HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, service, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend solutions. Complete preventive maintenance tasks and inspections. Maintain accurate service reports and documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members. Follow company policies and adhere to Manitoba safety regulations and codes. Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications

Certified HVAC or Refrigeration Technician (Refrigeration License/Red Seal). Minimum 2 years' experience in HVAC/R service or installation. Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean abstract. Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. Must pass a

clean criminal record check

(required for some sites/clients). Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying conditions.
