Park Paving Ltd. has been a locally owned and operated for over 40 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking to hire either:

Apprentice Welder \xe2\x80\x93 that is currently enrolled or registered with the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training, or

Journeyman/woman Welder \xe2\x80\x93 that is Alberta certified or holds an interprovincial Journeyman welder certification

This individual will join our maintenance team in Sherwood Park, AB where the majority of this position will be in a shop environment, but at any time may require work in the field or at any of our other company locations in and around Edmonton.

The primary duties of this position include, but is not limited to:

• Safety orientated forward thinking, with attention to detail.
• To be able to perform geometry, read manuals, and document repairs to maintenance policy requirements.
• Cutting, welding, fabricating of used and new metals, while building or maintaining construction equipment or tools.
• Hard surfacing, component build up, maintenance on construction equipment.
• Wire and stick welding, gouging and torch cutting.
• Some mechanical tasks will be required, to disassemble or assemble to complete tasks.
• The ability to take direction as well as make decisions.
• Able to work in a team environment as well as perform independent tasks.
• Keeping all work areas clean, organized, and hazard free.
• The willingness to work at heights, at plant and other jobsite locations. Majority of work will be at our maintenance facility.
• Operating and driving various types of vehicles and equipment with proper training and competency.

Additionally, our company will provide the required PPE for the position except for CSA approved Safety boots.
