Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in mostly residential settings, and the occasional commercial job, while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of plumbing systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent issues and ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with HVAC technicians on integrated systems for heating and cooling. Perform heavy lifting as required for the installation of plumbing fixtures and equipment. Troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local building codes.

Experience

Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance field. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations. Experience in carpentry or assembly work is advantageous. Must be capable of performing heavy lifting as part of job duties.
