The J. Hansen Group Inc. is in search of a

Journeyman Plumber.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, self-motivated individual with a mechanical aptitude who takes great pride in their work. They will perform service work on plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. They will maintain excellent rapport and nurture long-term value-based relationships with new and existing customers. With their technical expertise, they will play a definite key role in enhancing our company image and reputation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines May prepare cost estimates. Other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:

Completion of secondary school is required Completion of apprenticeship hours or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade Service experience is an asset Backflow/ Gas Ticket is considered a definite asset Ability to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients (flexible on-call rotating schedule) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders and/or aerial platforms Must be comfortable working from heights Ability to work well in a team environment Must have a valid drivers license and willing to provide a driver's abstract
