Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and maintenance procedures. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The Journeyperson Plumber will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality workmanship efficiently and safely.

Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances using hand tools and power tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing projects accurately Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for installation or repairs Utilize welding techniques where necessary for pipe fitting or repairs Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly and integration of plumbing components Follow safety protocols related to HVAC, carpentry, and other construction activities Troubleshoot issues using schematic diagrams and basic math calculations for precise measurements Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards

Experience

Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry Extensive mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, HVAC, and general maintenance Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading Familiarity with blueprint reading, basic math skills for measurements, and schematic interpretation Experience with heavy lifting tasks in a construction environment Knowledge of carpentry principles beneficial for integrated building projects Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately within tight deadlines
