Job description Journeyperson Plumber & Apprentices (2nd-4th Year) - Join Our Team at Cal-can Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber & (2nd-4th year apprentice) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plumbing, including installation, maintenance, rough ins and finishes, and repair of various plumbing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Journeyperson Plumber will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our clients while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with plumbing installations and repairs. Conduct field service calls to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including HVAC technicians, during remodeling projects. Utilize hand tools and welding equipment as necessary for various plumbing tasks. Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Requirements Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or similar role. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Experience in remodeling projects is preferred. Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools and welding equipment. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with clients and team members. Ownership of hand tools and some power tools is highly recommended. Applicants should be familiar with using these tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. Additional Information Looking for Journeyman Plumbers and apprentices in their 2nd-4th year. Hourly wage depends on experience and level of certification. Benefits provided after 3 months of employment. Company vehicle provided if needed for the role. Certain tools are provided.
