Job Description

PowerKure Solutions is an industry leader in addressing power quality issues and is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Industrial Electrician/Journeyman to work in our shop assembling power conditioning units and active harmonic filters, as well as performing onsite power audits, installations and maintenance service calls on our equipment installed at client facilities.

Responsibilities:

Assembly of power conditioning units and AHF's according to designs provided by our engineer Installation of power quality conditioning units and AHF's onsite Programming of power monitoring systems installed in power conditioning units and AHF's Connect, record, and disconnect power quality auditing equipment Inspect and test equipment to diagnose and analyse problems Determine nature of repairs and/or modifications Demonstrate thorough knowledge of electrical, electronic, instrumentation, mechanical, process principles, and current techniques through ability to install, dismantle, reassemble, replace, recalibrate, repair, adjust, fabricate, maintain, etc., systems and equipment as assigned Perform special investigation and experimental work as required Develop new or modified applications and procedures Perform simple layouts for minor fabrications Perform small scale prefabrication and welding Ensure proper safety clearances and procedures as required Employee must be able to work independently or with others to complete tasks Valid driver's licence Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and customers

Job Qualifications:

Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification (Journeyman) Consideration may be given to 4th year apprentices focused on Industrial Electrical work

Work Environment:

Shop work is done in our shop onsite in comfortable temperatures. The shop is heated in the winters and cool in the summers. Usual work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday Offsite work differs from site to site and the successful applicant should be ready to work in various industrial environments Safety procedures and guidelines must be abided by at all times The successful candidate will be punctual and reliable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Experience:

Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
