Job Description

Evolution Mechanical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment in remote locations. Evolution Mechanical is hiring for positions in the field with a service truck on various shifts. The 2 shifts we have available currently are 14 days on 14 days off and 14 days on with 7 days off. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in challenging environments. Benefits are provided after 3 months of work, which include 100% coverage and Evolution Mechanical covers this completely.

Key Responsibilities:



Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical defects in heavy-duty equipment such as automobiles, gasoline and diesel-powered trucks, winches, power take-offs, pneumatic or hydraulic pumps, booms, cables, blades, and buckets. Overhaul and re-assemble electrical components such as alternators, distributors, starters, relays, and solenoids. Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure maximum reliability and longevity. Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements and specifications. Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment. Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients to provide updates on progress and address any concerns. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on equipment. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Continuously update your knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and best practices to stay current in your field.

Qualifications and Experience:



Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification A minimum of 5 years of experience working with heavy-duty equipment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. A valid driver's license without a GDL and clean driving record. Willingness to travel to remote locations and work flexible hours as needed. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines. Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
