We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team, providing expert electrical services across various industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse renovation, construction, and maintenance projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met consistently. Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety protocols in all tasks.

Duties

Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems, including low voltage and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Perform wiring, conduit installation, and system upgrades during renovation or new construction projects. Conduct routine inspections to ensure electrical systems comply with safety standards and regulations. Assist with the installation of control panels, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components. Diagnose electrical issues efficiently using schematics and troubleshooting techniques. Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.

Experience

Proven experience as an industrial electrician or journeyperson electrician with a strong background in construction, renovation, or maintenance projects. Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding of low voltage systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and control systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for industrial environments. Experience working on renovation projects or within construction sites is preferred. Additional maintenance person experience or general construction skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
