Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and local regulations.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
Perform all duties in a safe manner, adhering to company safety policies and procedures, and provincial safety regulations.
Connect and disconnect electrical power, and ensure proper grounding.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep accurate records.
Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, project managers, and clients.
Provide exceptional customer service and professional conduct on all job sites.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Supervise and mentor apprentices as required.
Direct a work crew on-site, assign tasks to other electricians and apprentices.
Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
Currently registered as a Journeyman Electrician in Alberta or a holder of Red Seal Endorsement.
Strong understanding of basic electrical principles and safety procedures.
Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
Comfortable working in various environments and conditions (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial settings).
Must have basic hand tools and power tools.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
All successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
