Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure they are functioning properly and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as framers and carpenters, to coordinate electrical work during construction or renovation projects
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing electrical work
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license/certification
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety procedures related to electrical work
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with high voltage systems is preferred
- Ability to perform basic frame carpentry tasks is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with other tradespeople on job sites
