Job Summary:



We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operators to join our team to fill few permanent full-time Crane Operator positions. Current work conducted at CNOOC Long Lake Site (Anzac T0P 1J0, 30 min south of Fort McMurray) Camp stay provided.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at construction sites or industrial facilities. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

:

- Operate cranes and hoists in a safe way according to crane manufacturers manual

- Responsible for assembly, disassembly, lifts and movements of cranes

- Know and follow road and crane regulations

- Perform pre-operational inspections including hazard assessments, calculating crane capabilities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting

- Calculating crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting

- Operate mobile to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials

- Inspect equipment and machinery to ensure safety & certification

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and operations, including load weights and equipment inspections.

- Communicate effectively with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals to coordinate movements and ensure safety during operations.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks associated with crane operations.

- Assist in mobilization and demobilization of equipment

- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with cranes and perform basic maintenance as needed

Qualifications:



- Minimum 3 Years experience operating a crane

- Journeyman Red Seal Mobile Crane Certification

- Valid Class 3 or 5 License preferred

- Proven experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings is preferred.

- Commitment to the Health & Safety program and a proactive mindset towards ensuring a safe work environment

- Meticulous accuracy and a keen eye for detail and commitment to safety standards at all times

- Ability to communicate and interact effectively.

- Ability to remain alert and maintain a high level of concentration

- Good interpersonal skills and Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and team members..

- Understands the operations and limitations of the equipment.

- Mechanical ability to make minor repairs when needed.

- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong mechanical knowledge to identify and address equipment issues effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47.00-$50.00 per hour
