The Role
We are seeking experienced 2nd year Apprentice to Journeyperson Refrigeration Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various refrigeration, chillers and HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction. We work on all types of equipment including ammonia systems.
Gas A Certification and/or Ammonia Refrigeration experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair complex chiller, refrigeration and HVAC system issues.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and servicing on existing systems.
Conduct regular inspections and servicing of refrigeration systems to maintain optimal performance.
Install new chilling refrigeration and air conditioning components and systems.
Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including motors, VFDs, and control systems.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely project completion and operational success.
Communicate clearly with clients and service advisors to provide solutions and guidance.
Document all repairs, maintenance, and compliance activities accurately in accordance with industry regulations.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and practices when working with ammonia and other refrigerants.
Experience
Valid Red Seal Journeyperson or Apprentice Certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (or equivalent recognized trade credential).
HRAI Refrigerant Handling Certificate
Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience in the refrigeration industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and associated technologies.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and codes related to refrigeration.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in various conditions
Gas A Certification and/or Ammonia Refrigeration experience are preferred but not required.
