Overview

Commercial builds and supports vehicles for essential sectors such as fire, utility, towing, municipalities, and others, and we rely every day on our production team members to help build and assemble vehicles for these vital customers.

We're looking for a

Journeyman Fabricator/Welder

to undertake the broad and diverse set of responsibilities required to build and assemble the metal components of our market-leading vehicles. The successful candidate will likely have a strong background with the combination of education and experience to confidently complete (sometimes complex) fabrication work to spec. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of the complete set of metal fabrication and welding tools and be confident in their ability to produce parts that will continually pass inspection and testing. Welds on our vehicles and apparatus are often visible, always important, and no amount of grinding and paint can (or should) hide inferior work.

Employees that have been successful for us have come from a variety of industries including marine, light automotive, manufacturing, and heavy equipment, but we ultimately need a team player that can drill, shear, bend, grind, prep, and weld with the best of them. Key Competencies



CWB Certification with

FCAW/MCAW

, All-position Metal fabrication knowledge and experience including cutting, drilling, grinding etc Complete welding knowledge and experience including SMAW, TIG, and MIG Ability to read drawings and specifications and produce parts to spec Crane and rigging knowledge is considered an asset Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment Strong commitment to safety, detail-oriented, dependable, and punctual

Qualifications and Experience


The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and to hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries.

CWB

FCAW/MCAW

Qualification would be considered a strong asset but is not required. Talented and experienced welders without a current CWB ticket are still encouraged to apply General truck body repair experience is considered an asset Journeyperson ticket considered an asset but apprentices will be considered
