We are currently seeking additional FCAW/MCAW Journeymen Welders to join our Edmonton facility's team. As a welder with Norfab you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and materials.

We operate a permanent day and night shift. Day shift is Monday-Friday, 44 hours each week. Night shift is Monday-Thursday, 44 hours each week. There is also a premium rate for nights. Both day and night shift positions are available. Also, overtime opportunities are often available on Saturdays for any employee interested in additional income.

Job Duties:

Fabrication of small and large parts into assemblies

Analyze engineered specifications on drawings to ensure precise layout and assembly of components

Work with and assist in the mentoring process of apprentice welders in the shop

Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings

Ensure tools in your area are maintained and report any equipment issues to management

Update production management software as tasks are completed

Experience:

CWB tickets

5+ years of direct experience in a shop/field environment

Strong attention to detail

Ability to inspect welds for defects

Good computer skills are an asset

Strong communication skills

Able to lift 50lbs regularly
