Journeyman Welder
Job Description
This position includes, but is not limited to production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, and fitter welding. This position will work with Lead Hands, Charge Hands and Foremen to ensure continuous improvements using various welding processes.
Responsibilities
Works without direction to most complicated drawings, sketches, etc., and/or verbal instruction.
Lays out fits and/or welds any major or minor fabrication assemblies or part thereof.
Operates all the weld shop equipment as required.
Maintains a set of tools to perform welding functions.
Assists less experienced personnel with work methods, work habits and performance.
Performs other tasks related to his/her classification.
Qualifications
Must be a qualified licensed tradesman in the Province of Alberta. Must be able to mentor and coach. CWB tickets an asset Must have fitting experience Maintains a set of tools to perform welding functions Safety Training an asset but will train as required
