This Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter Position Features:
Signing bonus: $2,000 for apprentices, $3,500 for journeyman and above(half on start, half at 1st year)

The Sprinkler Fitter, under the direction of the scheduling department, is primarily responsible for the maintenance and installation of fire protection systems, specifically, sprinkler and standpipe systems, fire mains (above and underground), fire pumps and dry pipe sprinkler systems. The Sprinkler Fitter is also responsible for the testing and troubleshooting of these systems to resolve any issues or leaks. Job Duties
Install automatic sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, etc., in accordance with NFPA, OBC and engineer design requirements
Inspect and test newly installed systems
Complete annual, quarterly, and monthly inspections of all types of fire protection systems
Repair any defective, worn or broken system parts
Install complete sprinkler systems by reading and understanding sprinkler design drawings and specifications
Measure and mark pipes for cutting
Fit and prepare pipes
Install clamps, brackets and hangers used to support the sprinkler systems
Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps and compressors
Complete preventive maintenance for sprinkler systems
Clean, repair, maintain and update current sprinkler systems
Other duties as assigned
Working overtime on a rotational on call basis
Requirements
(3) years of work experience as a licensed sprinkler fitter
Be a member in good standing with Local 853
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Time management skills
Mathematical and analytical skills necessary for pipe fitting
Ability to read building specifications and blueprints
Ability to work well independently or as a member of a team
Maintain a clean driving record
Possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license
Service vehicle is not permitted for personal use
Working at Heights Training must be completed before start date
