Mikkelsen-Coward is looking for a

Journeyman Plumber/Service Boiler Technician

to add to our growing team of dedicated professionals providing creative and innovative HVAC solutions to our customers. If you are a motivated individual with extensive knowledge in boilers and other large gas-fired equipment, Mikkelsen-Coward is looking for you to join our team. We will provide you with everything you need from tools, training, support and no shortage of work. We are a service first company but have many small to large installation projects throughout the year.





Service Boiler Technician





We are looking for someone with the following skills and assets:




Red Seal Plumber/Gasfitter or Pipefitter. Strong experience in maintaining, servicing, and adjusting boiler systems. Keeping detailed service and repair logs and maintaining strong communication with customers. Performing Preventative Maintenance Checks on boilers and associated plumbing systems. Conducting yearly teardowns and inspections in accordance with ITSM requirements. Completing new boiler installations and replacements. Acting as Site Foreman for large and small boiler installation projects. Extensive background in gas-fired equipment, hot water systems, and high- and low-pressure steam systems. "A" Gasfitter ticket preferred; minimum "B" ticket with recorded hours under a registered "A" Gasfitter. Proven troubleshooting, service, and installation experience on boiler and piping systems. Strong understanding of electrical and control systems for heating equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to identify potential opportunities with non-contract and contract customers. Strong time management and project planning abilities. Minimum 4 years' experience servicing and maintaining commercial/industrial boiler and plumbing systems.




Compensation would follow standard Union Rates with an additional Incentive Program.
