THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking a
Journeyman
Pipefitter
to join our Fort Saskatchewan Facility. This is a
full-time
position based on a
9/80 work schedule
. Preference will be given to
local candidates
who are able to commute daily to the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote and work to the highest level of safety compliance. Living our values that include health, safety & environment, integrity & trust, responsibility & accountability, teamwork and business spirit.
Provide troubleshooting support to Operations in locating and diagnosing trouble in the mechanical systems or equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, fitting, and bending of pipes.
Performs bolt up, rigging, and hydro testing.
Assembles and installs piping sections and valves according to blueprints and job specifications.
Performs physically demanding tasks such as securing pipe in hard-to-reach areas and operating heavy tools such as impacts.
Uses testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the facility runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
May perform other related duties as assigned, including, but not limited to managing Contractors on Projects and Turnarounds.
Plan work orders for both maintenance and turnarounds.
Manage work orders and PMs within the CMMS system (Maximo).
Provide backup support to the Stationary Coordinator as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:
Journeyman Steamfitter-Pipefitter Inter-Provincial Ticket.
5-7 years' experience in similar role within the oil & gas industry.
Extensive experience in planning and executing planned and unplanned maintenance.
Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance for industrial operations.
Experience with skid steer, fork-lift, crane operations and man-lift.
Commitment to Health and Safety.
Tickets that include H2S Alive, WHMIS, First Aid Certificates would be an asset.
Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Maximo or similar CMMS system.
Self-starter who can work independently.
Strong interpersonal skills and troubleshooting capabilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be available to work overtime and callouts as required.
This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
