Job Description

The Clean Harbors facility in Corunna, Ontario, is currently looking for a Licensed Journeyman Millwright (433A) with 2+ years' experience to join our maintenance department.


Millwrights are responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment, actively participating in preventative maintenance programs, and providing support to overall plant operations. This is primarily a day-shift position, with occasional overtime, and the requirement to work extended hours during shutdowns.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Ensure the plant operates in a safe condition Need to be fit for climbing stairs and ladders Working at heights Working in all weather conditions/outdoors: Repair/maintain/install pumps/gearboxes/bearings etc; Perform regular PM's in accordance to our FAM system: Fac asset management Perform other maintenance duties as required. Work independently as a self-starter, while also collaborating with the rest of the maintenance team. Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns. Support long shifts and additional work hours during plant shutdowns (three per year).

QUALIFICATIONS



Valid 433A Millwright License (required). Welding Certifications preferred. Manlift Variable Reach/Forklift Certification considered an asset : Experience with installation, repairs and modifications to mechanical equipment: motors, pumps..... Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience. Proven ability to work independently and take initiative. Repair, service and maintain equipment - Primarily pumps. Fit Bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, align couplings and belts to precise tolerances Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Strong communication skills Committed to health & safety practices and standards. Must be physically fit, capable of lifting up to 35 lbs, and prepared to work in extreme weather conditions, including both hot and cold environments.
