Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and building codes. This position requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks. Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installations and repairs. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete renovation projects efficiently. Perform high voltage installations and maintenance as required. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various work environments. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.

Skills

Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician. Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics. Familiarity with frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. Pay: From $43.74 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
