This is an exciting opportunity to work on interesting electrical projects across Canada! While DTI staffs Level 1 & 2 Thermographers, we also staff Journeyman Electricians and Electrical Engineering Technologists to assist in the diagnosis, repair and servicing of electrical equipment. The work we do is unique and ever-changing!

We are currently looking for a Journeyman Electrician that is looking to add experience to their resume while performing Infrared Thermal Imaging and electrical testing with DTI. We work coast-to-coast across Canada performing a multitude of services from Electrical IR Scans to performing in-service maintenance and repair on electrical distribution systems.

We are a 100% digital company using advanced software programs, thus

advanced computer skills are a requirement

. Because we compile large amounts of data during our inspections, the incumbent must also have an eye for detail.

Specific Responsibilities:

Work and train under DTI's Field Technicians to build the knowledge and skills to work independently Skills and experience working with live electrical equipment

SAFELY

Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment Determine condition of electrical equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and determine needed repairs Coordinate current and upcoming projects Identify labour, equipment and materials needed for new and repair projects Complete safety hazard inspections and identify the specific hazards of each job Willingness to travel throughout Canada on specific projects
Position Requirements:

Nova Scotia resident Journeyman Electrician Certificate Arc Flash Safety Training Certificate Physically able to lift heavy objects (panel covers), up to 50lbs Proficiency to work with high-end thermal imaging and testing equipment Ability to work alone with no supervision Punctuality Proper grammar as it relates to writing reports and describing data collected to customers Professional appearance and personality Positive Attitude Team player, who can also work independently
