Job Description

Metcalfe Lighting is looking for an accountable, highly experienced self motivated journeyman electrician that will grow with the company. This position requires working directly under the owners and reporting back on a daily basis.

Experience is a must as this position requires a variety of duties, including: service work, commercial lighting installations, working independently, meeting clients, assessing projects, quoting projects etc.

Most of our projects our located in the lower mainland area.

This position will mostly be involved with:

-Demo of outdated existing lighting systems, and installing LED lighting systems

-Installing and commissioning lighting controls

-Servicing a variety of commercial and industrial clients , lighting systems & controls, troubleshooting.

Applicant must have experience in:

EMT piping/Pipe Bending Panel work, installing and refitting Circuitry & Low Voltage Wiring & Switch Gear Commercial electrical systems and controls Knowledge of Seismic code Canadian Electrical Code Lighting, including HID, fluorescent and LED Lighting, commercial wall packs, shoebox, troffers, pot-lights and hi-bays Troubleshooting electrical issues Aerial platform, zoom and articulating, scissor and bucket truck ( is a must) Working off all sizes of ladders including extension ladders ( is a must)
Applicant must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends and evenings when required.

Class 5 Driver's License Must be able to acquire security clearances Electric sign experience is a bonus FSR Class B Ticket Prefered Must be a fully licensed journeyman

10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift
Experience:

Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Drivers License (required)
