Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical work, and currently have their FSR-B. With experience in renovation and construction settings. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work with various electrical systems. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and local interpretations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, institutional and residential environments. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems. Perform renovations involving electrical work, ensuring all installations meet safety standards. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to complete projects efficiently. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various work environments. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and commercial settings. FSR Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and safety regulations. Familiarity with telecommunication sites would be considered an asset. Experience with voltage at or below 750V, Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as multimeters. Previous construction site experience is essential, maintenance or service experience is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
