Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and be capable of performing a variety of tasks related to building, renovating, and maintaining electrical installations. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various hand tools and equipment. The Journeyperson Electrician will work on both Coomercial, Institutional and industrial projects, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in Institutional, commercial, and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform electrical installations and repairs. Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic equipment. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations during all work. Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or necessary upgrades. Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Experience

Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field. Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, Commercial electrical work, and maintenance person tasks related to electrical installations. Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in the trade. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
