The principal role of the Electrical Journeyman is to be responsible for working closely with our clients to provide electrical needs for oil and gas maintenance while promoting a healthy and safe workplace, ensuring top performance and providing quality service. Expectations

• Lead by setting a good example and engage the other team members to achieve goals
• Participate in all required department, area, and company meetings
• Ensure required safety training courses and certificates are kept up-to-date
• Expected to be 95% - 100% billable
• Expected to work in both field and office environments depending on current business needs

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate with supervisor to understand business objectives pertaining to field operations, equipment maintenance, inventory controls, and budgets
• Confident to initiate questions pertaining to scope, schedule, and cost to ensure effective delivery of the field execution and effectively communicate to area team lead on any potential roadblocks and/or challenges so issues can be quickly resolved and/or plans and adjusted schedules
• Complete and provide all electrical needs to clients and office as required
• Ensure quality and functionality of electrical installation in field
• Complete and provide all calibration documentation to clients and office as required
• Establish rapport with clients to ensure all their electrical needs are addressed
• Work together with the team, including but not limited to: providing ongoing technical support, ensuring all required tools and equipment are available before starting projects, ensuring that field service trucks are organized, maintained, and routine maintenance is scheduled, complete vehicle and equipment inspections
• Participate in regular field audits for competency and training purposes, follow all standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes, and provide feedback to team lead on any required changes
• Ensure all HSE inspections and documentation are completed and participate in worksite observations as required
• Ensure any nonbillable related activities are communicated to and approved by the area team lead before executed and follow company policies related to purchase orders, field tickets, and timesheet submission
• Participate in on-call rotation support for both field technicians and clients

Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience

• Five (5) years of experience as a journeyman electrical technician
• Industry related certification and/or work experience
• Knowledge of ABSA processes
• In-depth knowledge of shop and field activities
• Ability to manage and deal with ever changing job requirements
• Strong Microsoft office with experience in company software
• Trained in all required safety courses: Standard First Aid with CPR, H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, CSO, etc.

Additional Information
Please note that travel out of town and camp work is required
