This includes design, engineering, fabrication, packaging and servicing a range of pressure vessels, pipe spooling, structural skids and cargo transports. Maxfield also services the truck and transport, natural resources (oil and natural gas, and mining), propane distribution and marketing, power generation and cryogenic industries across Canada.

Seeking a Maintenance Electrician in an industrial manufacturing plant to support our afternoon shift. This shift is entitled to a premium in addition to the regular hourly wage.

Responsibilities:

Routine inspections of electrical systems Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to complete electrical projects Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions promptly Collaborate with other team members on larger projects to ensure timely completion Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times Testing of electrical systems with voltmeter Conduct repairs on electrical systems of faulty equipment Installation of new electrical systems Building electrical drawings Identification of hazards in electrical systems Completion of assigned work request Other tasks as required

Qualifications

:

Red Seal Electrician Certification Millwright Certification would be considered an asset Minimum 5 years of journeyman experience working as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing facility Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in the trade

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experienced with welding equipment such as power sources, wire feeders, plasma cutters (Lincoln, Miller, ESAB) Experienced with 3 phase electrical systems up to 600V Experienced in low voltage control circuits Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings Knowledge with industrial equipment such as manipulators, tank turning rolls, positioners Knowledge of CNC equipment such as automated cutting tables, lathes, mills Knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as bandsaws, pipe threaders, iron workers, presses, air compressors Knowledge over overhead bridge cranes Knowledge of hydraulic systems Must be comfortable working at heights Ability to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish project goals Strong knowledge of mechanical systems Positive attitude and strong work ethic
