Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, particularly in industrial settings, and possess the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on experience with various electrical systems, tools, and equipment. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Work with low voltage systems as well as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become critical. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial setting. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment. Familiarity with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous. Experience in construction or renovation projects is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
