Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial electrical work, with expertise in reading blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various construction sites, performing installations, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other testing equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately. Collaborate with other trades on construction sites, providing electrical expertise during renovation projects. Ensure all work complies with CEC standards and local regulations for safety and quality assurance. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and commercial environments. Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is essential. Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. Experience in construction site operations is preferred; maintenance person experience is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Pay: $22.00-$44.00 per hour
