Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. Commercial/Industrial General Contractor has 2 positions available immediately for a Journeyman Carpenter/Lead Hand Jr. Foreman. Experienced in managing small crews and small projects. Manage Subcontractors, materials, safety paperwork. Must have your own vehicle valid driver's license, no exceptions. ALL things Concrete, forming, framing, slabs, grade beam, foundations, sidewalks, retaining walls, pile caps, using anchorbolts and camlocks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in working with a range of materials and tools. This role involves executing high-quality carpentry work on residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Duties



Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform drywall installation and finishing to create smooth surfaces for painting or wallpapering. Execute concrete forming for foundations, slabs, and other structures as needed. Install cabinets, countertops, and other built-in furniture with precision. Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps for improved aesthetics and insulation. Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square according to project specifications. Lay tile in various settings including floors, walls, and backsplashes. Utilize hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to ensure project timelines are met.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Journeyperson Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including drywall installation, concrete forming, cabinet installation, caulking, tile laying, and general maintenance person skills. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. A valid driver's license may be required based on job site locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
