Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks and a strong understanding of construction principles. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on job sites. As a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Duties

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. Perform cabinet installation and ensure proper alignment and functionality. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Execute construction painting tasks as needed for finishing touches on projects. Conduct plumbing work as required, ensuring all installations are up to code. Engage in masonry work for structural support or aesthetic finishes. Collaborate with other trades such as electrical workers to integrate systems seamlessly into carpentry projects. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.

Requirements

Proven experience as a carpenter with a comprehensive understanding of carpentry techniques. Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and woodworking machinery. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of construction painting techniques is preferred. Familiarity with plumbing concepts is an asset. Experience in cabinet installation is highly desirable. Basic understanding of CNC machinery is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Commitment to safety standards on job sites.
