Position: B-Pressure Welder (CWB Certified in FCAW)
Location: Nisku, Alberta
Contract Length: 3-6 months with potential for permanent
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (potential for overtime)We are looking for a skilled B-Pressure Welder with a valid CWB certification in FCAW for all positions or flat to join our team in Nisku, Alberta. This role involves performing high-quality welds that meet stringent industry standards, emphasizing safety and precision. Initially, this is a 3-6 month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance.Due to the site\'s inaccessibility by public transit, candidates must have their own transportation. - Utilize FCAW and B-Pressure welding skills to weld buckets and skids, including 6-inch joints at temperatures up to 400 degrees.
- Work closely with team members and maintenance staff to ensure efficient conveyor repairs and maintain a smooth production process.
- Follow welding standards, maintain a safe work environment, and quickly resolve welding issues to reduce downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of welding activities for maintenance purposes.Qualifications
- Must hold a journeyman welder ticket
- Must have b-pressure ticket or heavy b-pressure experience and willingness to get ticket
- Availability to work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with overtime
- Hold valid CWB FCAW all positions certificate
- Ability to provide your own 6" steel-toed boots
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs, working at heights, agility, and navigating equipment and ladders
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada (Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit)Summary
