Technical Assistant
for the setup and operation of
interactive gaming rooms
at our upcoming
amusement center
in Vaughan.
This is a
hands-on role
ideal for students pursuing
Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related disciplines
, offering real-world experience in installations, troubleshooting, and managing tech-enabled entertainment systems.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Support & Installation
Assist with
setup and wiring of interactive games
, sensors, and lighting systems
Support
testing, calibration, and troubleshooting
of game components (including sensors, touchpads, LED controls, wiring)
Work with senior technicians to ensure
safe and error-free installations
Shift Supervision
Oversee day-to-day installation or testing activities during assigned shifts
Maintain installation logs, track inventory and ensure team stays on schedule
Act as a liaison between the technical team and general contractor/management during shift
System Coordination
Coordinate with game developers and vendors for game-specific configurations
Provide tech support to ensure all gaming rooms are operational and safe
Documentation & Maintenance
Help prepare setup manuals, wiring diagrams, and tech support checklists
Report and escalate any recurring technical issues to senior technicians
Preferred Qualifications:Education:
Currently enrolled in a
Diploma or Bachelor's program in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
Skills & Experience:
Basic understanding of
circuitry, sensors, wiring, power tools, or embedded electronics
Prior experience with hands-on technical projects, Arduino/Raspberry Pi setups, or A/V wiring is an asset
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to follow instructions, read blueprints or electrical diagrams
Leadership ability and initiative to manage shifts independently
Other Requirements:
Available to start from
November 1st
and commit for 3 months
Must be available for on-site work in
Vaughan
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Access to transportation is a plus
