Job Description
Aplin has partnered with a company in Regina to hire a Jira Developer for a year-long contract.
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan - Hybrid (10% onsite)
Term: 2023/03/20- 2024/03/29
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and develops new code and verifies code with integration and unit tests
- Identifies logic errors, implements bug fixes, and supports user testing
- Builds and executes automation tests
- Analyzes business requirements
- Provides third-level application support
- Participates in application design sessions
- Consults with business areas, technical support, team members, technical sources, and end-users
- Ensures high quality of development and solution prior to product release
- Analyzes code designs in support of new code
- Ensures technical solutions are developed and maintained in the most efficient and effective manner
- Proactively researches new technology and assists with product releases
- Experience in with Atlassian Products Jira Data Center & Jira Cloud as a Jira System Administrator
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- One to five years of experience as a developer or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good instincts in solving technical problems
- Ability to produce working code with minimal supervision on relatively routine development tasks
- Experience with GitHub, Adaptavist Script Runner, and Knowledge of database scripting
