Our expectations

Under the direction of the ITSM Director, the JIRA Administrator will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of our JIRA instances. They will work closely with various teams across the organization to understand their workflows, requirements, and challenges, and translate these needs into efficient and effective JIRA configurations.

Your role

Customize JIRA projects, workflows, screens, fields, and schemes to meet the specific needs of different teams and projects.
Create and manage JIRA workflows, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
Implement custom JIRA workflows, validators, post functions, and other extensions as required.
Manage user access, permissions, and security settings to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Provide ongoing support to users, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Conduct training sessions to educate team members on JIRA best practices and functionalities.
Create custom JIRA reports and dashboards to provide insights and metrics for project tracking and management.
Stay up-to-date with JIRA\'s latest features, updates, and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation related to JIRA configurations, processes, and integrations

The qualifications we are looking for

University or Diploma of College Studies in computer science or equivalent
Proven experience as a JIRA Administrator or similar role, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
In-depth knowledge of JIRA configuration, administration, and customization.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
Experience with JIRA add-ons and integrations (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications in JIRA administration or Agile methodologies (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-600) is a plus.
Ability to share knowledge and expertise in readily understandable terms
Ability to operate within short deadlines and constraints
Organizational skills, service-oriented, and concern for quality
Autonomy and sense of initiative
Self-direction while learning new systems
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office
