in Gastown, Vancouver BC is looking for a professional, talented, organized, highly motivated and above average performer to be Store Manager. Unlike other large retail corporations, Artina's Jewellery is a proud, locally owned and uniquely original business which has been successful in the Victoria community for over 30 years. We specialize in Hand Crafted Canadian jewellery and we carry work from over 70 of Canada's top designers, including a large selection of First Nations jewellery.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Manager or Assistant Manager in a retail location of a related nature (Jewellery, Native Art, Fashion, Tourism related retail). You must have a proven track record of above average performance, be very organized, able to multitask in a fast paced environment, and be a leader, mentor and coach. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for assisting the Manager in all aspects of the business. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to;

Manage all daily store operations, sales, professional handle customer inquiries, oversee inventory, inputting stock, training, hiring/firing, scheduling, leading and motivating team, budgeting, paying vendors, purchasing and ordering product, web sales and website management, prepare and submit regular reports.

Job Skills:

Applicants must have a minimum 2 years of Manager or Assistant Manager, in jewellery/fashion/Native Art/ Tourism based retail with a staff of no less than 5. Demonstrate leadership and communication skills. Applicants must love jewellery and have their own personal style that is confident and professional. Applicants must be highly knowledgeable about current fashion trends and how to help make her customers look their best. Applicant must have a strong sense of visual merchandising, store organization and time efficiency. Applicant must understand the principles of loss prevention, inventory management, conflict resolution, problem solving and be proficient with a computer and Windows. Experience with simply accounting or ARMS software or social media is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Work Location: In person
