About Us

Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world\'s highest-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at Cigar Lake is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.

The Role

Cameco is looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Jet Boring System Supervisor.

This is a temporary one-year term position.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for the operation of the jet boring system (JBS)
• Organize and perform daily operator care rounds on the JBS and all other related equipment
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the JBS
• Ensure safe and efficient uranium ore production

Required:

• Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of industrial experience
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Strong ability to use and navigate automated mining technology and computer software
• Significant work experience in drilling and underground mining
• Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:

• Background in the operation of complex drilling machinery
• Work experience with navigating and operating DCS systems
• Familiarity with IOS systems

Safety Sensitive Site

The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.

Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewan\'s North (RSN)
