Hafford Central School is a Kindergarten \xe2\x80\x93 Grade 12 school with an approximate enrolment of 135 students, an FTE of 9.5 professional staff and 8 support staff. Summary of Position
This is a Temporary Part-Time Jordan\'s Principle Educational Assistant .50 FTE, 6Hrs/ day every other day position, commencing October 30, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.
Qualifications
Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Preference will be given to an individual who has obtained a post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program
Experience working with individuals that are non-verbal is an asset.
