JAVA + WEBSPHERE DEVELOPER Quartech has been a leader in leveraging tech to find actionable and practical solutions to complex law enforcement challenges for more than 30 years. Since 2020 we\xe2\x80\x99ve been expanding our offerings to support our existing clients, and to work with additional partners in the criminal justice space. On our team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work on complex projects across our different clients and industries. As a service-orientated organization we look for developers who are comfortable working collaboratively with our clients and technical teams, and who are comfortable in a dynamic environment. Hands-on experience with Java, Websphere, configuration management, and Windows are needed for this position. Working closely with the project team you\xe2\x80\x99ll create, test, maintain and document our software applications in support of our technical roadmap. Our Solutions:

The successful client will be asked to receive security clearance and travel to Los Angeles on occasion \xe2\x80\x93 associated costs will be covered by Quartech. Currently we are looking for candidates currently residing in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, or Colorado. Starting salary: $100,000 \xe2\x80\x93 130,000 annually In this role, you will\xe2\x80\xa6:

• Develop software applications based on design specifications in accordance with applicable standards
• Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy code in all layers (presentation layer, business layer and database layer)
• Create technical design and specification documents
• Prepare reports and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
• Implement APIs and integrate services with existing applications
• Remediate and resolve software performance issues and defects
• Collaborate with our internal technical teams, and with our clients
• Deliver work within established timelines, identify and communicate technical problems and solutions in a timely manner
• Fix complex data issues, resolve performance problems, and improve query logic
• Create frameworks to ensure code is sustainable, reusable, robust and scalable
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Promote the software development Agile methodology & its best practices, from continuously integrating the code to production deployment

To be successful in this role you need:

• 3 + years experience working with Java and Websphere
• Experience with enterprise-level projects
• Working knowledge of Scrum / Agile methodologies
• Experience in working in public cloud and Kubernetes platforms
• Consulting experience working with clients to design, build and evolve solutions

• Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack in solution design, definition, code requirements
• Some familiarity with Oracle, MySql, Angular, and Cognos is a plus
