Job Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada:As Java Full-stack Engineer, you will work on one of the world\'s largest social media platforms which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in an ambitious, innovative environment for our client. Investigate, create, and implement the solutions for many technical challenges using brand-new technologies, including building/enhancing data processing platform enabling work of software used by hundreds of millions of users!Key Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 Obtains tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, approves them with all stakeholders!\xc2\xb7 Ensures that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.\xc2\xb7 Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and gives to project plan of assigned area.\xc2\xb7 Developing standard methodologies for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.\xc2\xb7 Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.\xc2\xb7 Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.\xc2\xb7 Solve and optimizing data systems.\xc2\xb7 Reports about area readiness/quality, and raise red flags in crisis situations which are beyond their AOR.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for resolving crisis situations within their AOR.Required Skills:\xc2\xb7 University degree or equivalent experience in Computer Related Sciences or similar\xc2\xb7 Solid Java coding skill with 5+Years of experience as full stack engineer.\xc2\xb7 Experience in React, RESTful APIs and SQL. Strong foundation in computer science and engineering: algorithms, data structures, programming, databases, design patterns, virtualisation etc.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, React.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in object-oriented programming using Java.\xc2\xb7 Strong OOP skills\xc2\xb7 Effective communication (oral & written), collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Life at CapgeminiCapgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
