Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct detailed floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions. Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces to promote health and safety standards. Maintain facilities by inspecting for repairs needed; perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing fixtures when necessary. Assist with industrial cleaning projects involving heavy-duty equipment or specialized cleaning procedures for large-scale or high-traffic areas. Support residential painting projects or touch-ups as needed to keep the environment visually appealing. Operate cleaning machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed promptly and thoroughly. Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glasses, pots, and pans by hand.

Requirements

Proven experience in janitorial work or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques. Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces. Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting projects. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety procedures related to facilities maintenance. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor throughout the shift. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly. Nice-to-have skills include experience with residential painting, porter duties in commercial settings, or specialized training in buffing and floor care techniques.
