Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilitie, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, with an emphasis on high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and office spaces to ensure a sanitary environment. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly while adhering to recycling guidelines. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. Light yard work such as watering flowers, shovelling etc Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
