Job Description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:







Clean, ensuring proper disinfectant procedures are followed. Clean areas, including office areas, lunchroom, entryways etc. Sweeps, mops, polish, vacuum carpeted areas, performs all cleaning aspects of halls, offices, board rooms, restrooms and, lunchroom as well as washing walls, windows and window coverings. Maintain outside grounds (front of building/building entrances) Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks mirrors and floors. Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed Remove trash and recycling throughout the facility. Wash and buff floors with floor polisher (if applicable) Work with and understand a number of cleaning chemicals, ensuring the right products are being used for the right jobs Dust all furniture and fixtures. Report damages and acts of vandalism. Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner. Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies - reporting weekly inventory to company purchaser. Restock materials and supplies as needed. Assist with the preparation and set up for meetings, parties, or various other activities and clean up after then event. Ensure compliance with WHMIS and any other required legislation regarding chemical products Complete logbooks as necessary Complete required training, including any required health and safety training

Other tasks as assigned by management





Working Conditions:




Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions

Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

Physical requirements: standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment.



Requirements



One (1) year of previous custodial/janitorial experience. Highly motivated and able to work independently. Ability to comprehend and communicate detailed instructions orally and in writing. Ability to multi-task and establish priorities. Strong attention to detail. WHMIS

GMP, HACCP/ Food Safety Training

Understanding of BRC and FSEP/HACCP Program

Compensation:



Wage & Performance review after a successful completion of a 90-day probationary period. Wage and performance will be reviewed annually.
