Position Title: Janitorial CleanerPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time \xe2\x80\x8bPosition Location: Florenceville MainGrade: Scale 02Requisition ID: 31937DATE: September 20th 2024JOB TITLE: Janitorial CleanerDEPARTMENT: Facilities, Florenceville-BristolJob Grade: Grade 2 ($20.15 \xe2\x80\x93 21.34 per hour)McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a- Janitorial Cleaners to join the team.Position SummaryWorking independently, ensures that all assigned facilities in Florenceville area are kept clean, tidy, safe and presentable. Reports any safety concerns immediately. Reports to Janitorial Supervisor.Job ResponsibilitiesFollowing daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual schedules, ensure all office areas and equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and maintained in a safe and respectable manner. This includes emptying trash cans, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping, washing etc. Replenish paper tower, toilet paper, soap dispensers and hand sanitizers, as required. Defrosting freezers and cleaning interior of fridges. Heavy duty cleaning on a semi annual basis, including interior and some exterior window cleaning, steam cleaning carpets, mats, and fabric furniture, washing walls, etc.Report any safety concerns; follow up if they are not taken care of in a reasonable period of time. Maintain and account for an inventory of supplies and order additional supplies as required. Proper storage of all cleaners and hazardous materials. Other related duties as may be required.Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum high school education
• Required to obtain WHMIS and TDG certification
• Some experience in cleaning would be an asset.

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to work independently.
• Organized, with ability to maintain inventory, track tasks, etc.
• High standards for cleanliness.
• Ability to read labels, leave notes, keep inventory, etc.
• Excellent discipline and time management skills

Physical Demands

• Crouching, bending, reaching, repetitive movements

• Push, pull, carry
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Loud noise possible due to cleaning machines
• Climbing and cleaning stairs
• Using ladders and other lifting devices for high level cleaning

Safety

• Proper PPE is to be worn as requires, including gloves, eye mask, and closed-toe footwear
• Proper knowledge of cleaning chemicals, their use, storage, and mixture
• Proper use of cleaning machines

Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate \xe2\x80\x9csafety first\xe2\x80\x9d on a continual basis. Selection of employees for promotion is based on such factors as ability, special training, experience, job performance record, attendance, physical fitness, education and length of service. Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal.
