General responsibilities include, and not limited to:

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, lifting, walking, and handling of materials, such as:

Janitorial work, such as cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, lunchrooms, and offices, and garbage pick-up.

Patrolling the premises, monitoring buildings and their systems, writing reports, and contacting the proper personnel in case of emergencies.

Snow shovelling, operating a snowblower and spreading road salt during the winter months.

Filling outdoor furnaces with wood during the winter months

Requirements:

Proven working experience as a Janitor

Previous experience with security guard duties or relevant experience. (an asset)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment

Excellent knowledge of public health safety, sanitary and security procedures and protocols

Surveillance skills and detail orientation

Integrity and professionalism

High school diploma or equivalent.

Comfortable working overnight

Fluent in English

Medical and security clearance required

Clean criminal record

Willing to work nights, days, weekends, holidays and overtime.

36-39 hours per week with staggered shifts.

Examples of possible shifts rotations:

- Sunday 6 am to noon - 6 hrs

Monday 5pm to midnight - 7 hrs

Tuesday 5pm to midnight - 7 hrs

Wednesday 5pm to midnight - 7 hrs

Friday midnight to noon Saturday - 12 hrs (Saturday)

5-day work-week for a total of 39 hrs

Must be legally able to work in Canada
