Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, ensuring that our facilities are well-kept at all times. Able to lift 30lbs. Works well alone and as a team.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, hallways, washrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and other school areas Perform routine daily cleaning and occasional deep cleaning tasks Follow checklists and safety protocols Use cleaning equipment and products safely Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor in school settings Report completed tasks and any issues to supervisor Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately Restock supplies such as paper products and soap Follow cleaning schedules and procedures

Qualifications

Cleaning experience preferred (residential or commercial) Must have valid drivers license Strong attention to detail and pride in doing quality work Physically able to lift 20-30 lbs and perform repetitive tasks Reliable transportation to Whitby / Durham Region job sites Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently WHMIS certification an asset (training available) Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
