The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment across SJ facilities ensuring cleanliness and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Working Hours: 10:00am - 6:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning of floors, kitchens, washrooms, locker room, offices, break rooms, and common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting). Empty garbage and recycling bins, ensuring waste disposal areas are kept clean and organized. Replenish consumable supplies such as paper towels, hand soap, and sanitizers in washrooms, kitchens, and other common areas. Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, shelves, and other office furniture. Respond promptly to spills or urgent cleaning requests. Maintain cleanliness in office spaces, addressing spills, smudges, and high-traffic areas promptly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment when needed. Perform daily upkeep of high-use areas and ensure that floors, walls, and windows are free of dirt and smudges. Work independently to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Complete and maintain cleaning logs and checklists for all assigned areas. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

Experience in janitorial work. Knowledge of OH&S and WHMIS (training will be provided). Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safe chemical handling. Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks. Strong attention to detail and reliability. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
