MTH Manufacturing is a production facility that deals with the operation and assembly of truck axles for large commercial vehicles.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Janitor here at MTH Manufacturing you will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in many different areas of the building. The following is a list of some of the responsibilities necessary to maintain a clean work environment. This role will have a flexible schedule.

Sweep and scrub floors as required. Clean sinks, fountains, and other sanitary stations. Replenish tissue, soap, paper towel and more when needed. Collect and dispose of trash. Clean and polish many different surfaces such as windows and ceilings. Conduct inventory on cleaning supplies and equipment needed to maintain sanction. Clean and disinfect employee washrooms. Other related duties as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

1 or more years of janitorial/cleaning experience or a similar role preferred. Janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Preferred skills

Ability to communicate with others in a helpful way. Knowledge of various sanitation methods and practices. Ability to perform repetitive motion for several hours in a row. Knowledge of how to handle hazardous materials. Able to work effectively under pressure. Ability to both follow instructions and be independent when needed.
