Job Summary

Macrodyne Technologies is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment across our manufacturing and office facilities. This role is essential in supporting daily operations, employee safety, and compliance with workplace standards.

Duties

Clean and maintain offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, reception, and common areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors; clean windows, walls, and fixtures Empty garbage, recycling, and scrap bins regularly Maintain cleanliness of production areas while following safety protocols Refill supplies such as paper products, soap, and sanitizers Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to management Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools Follow company safety policies, WHMIS, and housekeeping standards Support special cleaning projects as required (e.g., shutdowns, audits)

Qualifications

Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred (industrial or manufacturing environment an asset) Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Physically capable of lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to follow instructions and company policies
Working Conditions:

Exposure to a manufacturing environment (noise, machinery, dust) May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
