Key Responsibilities

The Janitor will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store and staff areas. Core duties include:

Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of the main sales floor, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring aisles are free of debris and spills. Regularly clean and sanitize all sales floor fixtures (shelving, displays, glass cases, etc.) to maintain a hygienic and appealing shopping environment. Clean, sanitize, and restock supplies in staff washrooms daily, or as required, to ensure a clean and sanitary space. Gather and empty trash and recycling from all designated areas. Monitor and maintain stock of cleaning supplies and toiletries, notifying management when reordering is necessary. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Assist with other cleaning duties as needed, which may include cleaning windows, dusting, and responding to unexpected clean-up needs.

Requirements and Skills

Proven working experience as a Janitor, Custodian, or Cleaner is preferred. Ability to handle cleaning equipment and supplies effectively and safely. Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to completing tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently. Reliable, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with staff and customers. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods (e.g., must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
